What you have been waiting for all month..........
Tom's March News
05/02/2016
March sees the start of Spring and I feel that now is the time to review my wardrobe. Why it is that when I hang something in my wardrobe for a few months it automatically shrinks two sizes? It would be helpful if they would put expiry dates on clothes so we men know when we go out of fashion.
Spring is also the ideal season for photographers. There is renewed incentive to get out and capture all the fresh colours and crisp lighting after winter. For further incentive why not visit the Fordingbridge Camera Club? We are a friendly, go-ahead club and meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on alternate Wednesdays.
Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the season. It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on the highest quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
On 13th April, Paul Keene, a highly regarded wildlife photographer will be showing his work. Visitors are always welcome for a small fee.
In addition to our regular meetings we are devoting many evenings for those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. The group have recently been investigating Night Photography, High Dynamic Range imaging and Focus and Motion effects. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members.
Over Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May we will be holding a free exhibition in the Town Hall to show the work of our members which will be judged by a professional judge. Visitors will be invited to cast votes for their favourite image.
Youngsters will also be displaying their photographic skills.
