I have been surprised at prices when I have visited shops recently. How the cost of living is rising! However in spite of this cost - living is still popular.
Another popular thing is the Fordingbridge Camera Club. Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme. We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm most Wednesdays of the season. It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
Visitors are always welcome for a small fee. In addition to our regular meetings we are devoting many evenings for those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular and are open to visitors for a small fee. Our Club year finishes in mid-June but we still have one more interesting speaker; David Boag is showing ‘Wild Landscapes’ at our meeting on 1st May. Well worth seeing if you are planning to use the summer months in our green and pleasant land. David is a wildlife photographer and the author/photographer of 18 published books.
With all the local country shows and steam fairs etc. there is so much to see and photograph in the summer months.
I now know why I am so surprised how prices have changed - I tend to live in the past because most of my life is there.
