Tom's May Publicity
15/04/2016
I think it is hard to be as fit as a fiddle when you are shaped like a cello – perhaps it is time I tried to lose weight. I could lead a march through Fordingbridge with an anti-obesity chant; “What do we want? A cure for obesity! When do we want it? After dinner!”
A more successful march could be to the Fordingbridge Town Hall on Friday 13th May (10.30am to 4.30pm) and Saturday 14th May (9.30am to 4.00pm) to see a free exhibition of photographic work by members of the Fordingbridge Camera Club. It will be an opportunity to examine the work your friends and neighbours have produced. The work will be judged by a professional photographic judge and visitors will be invited to cast votes for their favourite image. Youngsters will also be displaying their photographic skills.
We are a friendly, go-ahead club and meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesdays. Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the season. It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on the highest quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. The club programme shows the planned meeting days which are almost every Wednesday throughout our season. Visitors are welcome to attend any of the events listed in the programme for a small fee unless otherwise stated. Creative and Practical evenings are organised by members for members and therefore running and content may be changed at short notice. As a group they set themselves new challenges and then review the results collectively. Experiments with Macro and Light Sources were the latest aspects of photography to be considered.
Thought for the Day: Time may be a great healer, but it is a lousy beautician.
