Tom's controversial December publicity.

Christmas is coming and soon Fordingbridge will be alive with colourful lights and the bustle of last minute shopping .
I hear that new regulations say Santa’s helpers must wear a seat belt at all times when they are on the sleigh. It’s elfin safety gone mad. I can’t wait to dress the tree; I like to decorate it with the kids but now they’re getting older it’s harder to find branches that will support their weight.
Fordingbridge Camera Club remains the same happy, jolly environment and welcomes new members and visitors. Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk contains our programme for the year, a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on top quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
Visitors are always welcome for a small fee. In addition to our regular meetings, we devote many evenings to those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. Composite images, (combining images to produce a photograph that never originally existed), was the subject of a recent entertaining evening. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members.
It is also well worth looking at the photo galleries on our website – there are some wonderful photographs taken by your friends and neighbours in the Fordingbridge and district area.
The standards of our members have risen over the years, aided by the advice of the photographic judges and the experience of other members.
Finally, may we wish a Happy Christmas to all our readers - and always remember that a puppy isn’t just for Christmas - with any luck there will also be some left over for Boxing Day lunch!
0r (for the squeamish)
- and always remember that Santa has a tenth reindeer, ‘Olive’. She is mentioned in Rudolph’s song: “Olive the other reindeer...”.
Which ending do you like?
