Back in May we had a successful Spring Exhibition and shortly afterwards I thanked all members for the images they sent in for the exhibition and competition. On the website regarding the show all the winners names were put up. However I feel that they also deserve to have these images seen by all members and the general public who were unable to be there.

As you know the judge for the day was Robin Dumbreck who was very impressed with the standard and had great difficulty selecting the winning images. As this was an exhibition Robin judged the images as exhibition images rather than internal competition ones...obviously a different way of judging. He was looking for the impact of the image, a keen awareness the photographer had of his surroundings, being in the right place at the right time and the composition. This in itself threw up a few surprises.

I would like to thank all members for their support and congratulations to all the winners chosen by Robin as he felt they represented what he was looking for.
