The start of the evening was slightly contrived in order to get Anne and John Mahany to the front where initially they were presented with flowers and wine to thank them for all their efforts in the club. The main reason for getting them to the front was to present them with honorary membership.





In preparation for the break the kettle was boiled but this upset the fire alarm and we all emptied out of the building onto the pavement. Shortly afterwards the fire brigade arrived and allowed us to re-enter for our cuppa/wine/nibbles.



The evacuation followed by the drinks and nibbles mixed us all up and enabled us to enjoy a chat.



It was a good evening with Chris Harvey winning the fun Summer Image competition and gaining a prize of a bottle of wine. Note for new members this is not the norm for a competition.
