Tom's February Publicity

“I hate housework. You make the beds, you do the dishes and six months later you have to start all over again”. (Joan Rivers).

Housework, plus the weather, can be depressing - but there is light at the end of the tunnel; Fordingbridge Camera Club has returned from its Christmas break with full vigour. The club is to hold an exhibition again this year in the Town Hall to show the good people of Fordingbridge the excellent photographic work produced by their friends and neighbours who are club members. It will be held on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May.  Put this event in your diary - I used to have a photographic memory for these things but, unfortunately, my memory no longer offers the same day service! We are a friendly, go-ahead club. We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on alternate Wednesdays.

Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the season. It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. Visitors are always welcome for a small fee.

In addition to our regular meetings, we are devoting many evenings to Creative Photography for those who want to explore more advanced aspects of photography. The Practical Photography group is aimed at helping members who are new-comers to photography. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members.

Lovers of The New Forest are in for a treat on 19 February as members compete to show its quintessential spirit in projected images, come and join us as a visitor. Remember, with threats of global warming we must ensure that we take care of our planet. It is the only one that has chocolate!
